Gonorrhea is a common sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by a bacteria. It is spread through unprotected sexual contact (vaginal, oral or anal).

Although some people with gonorrhea have signs or symptoms, many people with the infection do not. In other words, just because you feel healthy doesn't mean that you don't have an STD.
